About Us Skill Development PIA’s Council
SKILL DEVELOPMENT PIA’S COUNCIL is a public charitable trust established with the primary aim of organizing and empowering Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) active in the skilling and placement sector across India. Our goal is to support PIAs, especially those implementing government-funded schemes, by providing a platform for collective representation, dialogue, training, and development.
Our foundational mission is to foster a robust ecosystem where PIAs can contribute effectively to the Skill India Mission and play a pivotal role in national economic growth through enhanced skill development initiatives.

To build a unified and empowered network of Project Implementing Agencies that drive inclusive, high-impact skill development across India—fueling economic growth, social equity, and a future-ready workforce aligned with the goals of the Skill India Mission.
Our Objectives
The core objectives of SKILL DEVELOPMENT PIA’S COUNCIL include:
- Organizing skill development courses and placements through conferences, lectures, and educational programs.
- Strengthening the role of PIAs in India’s economic development, especially through training the unemployed and underprivileged.
- Serving as a catalyst for growth by promoting cooperation and dialogue between PIAs, government departments, and other stakeholders.
- Providing timely information and resources to PIAs and government bodies.
- Advocating for the rights and interests of PIAs before policy-making bodies at central and state levels.
- Enhancing quality training standards and promoting healthy environments within the skilling sector.
- Supporting small PIAs to enhance competitiveness and global integration.
- Publishing books, magazines, and other educational materials in support of the Skill India Mission.Conducting research and offering consultancy on skilling issues.
- Establishing and operating skill centers, colleges, and universities for human resource development.
- All activities are conducted on a non-profit, no-loss basis dedicated to public charitable purposes.
